SINH is a national non-profit institution of basic and applied research affiliated with CAS. The institute focuses on healthy aging, major chronic diseases, nutrition and food safety, and biomedical big data, with an emphasis on application and biotechnology development.    

Our institute comprises three CAS key laboratories, i.e., the CAS Key Laboratory of Tissue Microenvironment and Tumor; the CAS Key Laboratory of Nutrition, Metabolism and Food Safety; and the CAS Key Laboratory of Computational Biology. It also includes several supporting units.   

Our team comprises around 1,000 individuals, including faculty, staff, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.    

We encourage collaboration in pursuing research excellence and service to the general public.
