On November 13, 2008, Dr. Vikki Allen and Ms. Sarah Ruthven, editors of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK, and Dr. Chunxiao Zheng with the Beijing Representative Office of RSC paid a visit to Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM). At 2:30PM, guests from RSC delivered a seminar report with the title "RSC Publishing & Chinese Science - Going for Gold!" at the conference hall on the fourth floor of the new Chemistry Building of FJIRSM. Meanwhile, the British guests made a key introduction to the institution framework and editorial organizing forms of RSC. And then Prof. Rong Cao, deputy director of FJIRSM, delivered a short speech about the evolutionary history, stock company, patent application, international cooperation and construction prospect of FJIRSM. After the reports, the three visitors carried out detailed discussion on the edition and publication of scientific periodicals of RSC with the research staff of FJIRSM.
