On July 9th, 2009, Dr. Jun Zhang from University of Texas at Austin visited Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Lab of SIMIT at the invitation of Prof. Mingqi Li. He gave a presentation on “Adapting MIMO Networks Based on Interference”. First, Dr. Zhang introduced their Wireless Networking and Communications Group at U.T. Austin., and presented the impact of imperfect channel state information on multi-user MIMO. Moreover, he talked about the coordination strategies for network MIMO under the interference.  

The topics of the talk drew much attention to the participants, with whom Dr. Zhang further exchanged views over MIMO network, multi-cell processing and MIMO implementation in LTE and Wimax. After the discussion, Dr. Zhang visited Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Lab and both agreed to keep in touch and exchange academic ideas periodically.
