Delegation from Technical University of Denmark visit Shanghai Institute of Ceramics

The delegation led by Prof. S?ren Linderoth from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) visited Laboratory of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) of Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS) on April 8, 2016. Prof. Zhongliang Zhan from SICCAS received the delegation.

The delegation consisted of Prof. S?ren Linderoth, head of Department of Energy Conversion and Storage, Prof. Peter Vang Hendriksen, head of Section and Technology Track Coordinator of the SOEC and Oxygen Membrane program, Prof. Anke Hagen, head of Section and Technology Track Coordinator of the SOFC program, and other senior scientists. Prof. Zhan hosted the meeting. Prof. Linderoth introduced the main research activities at DTU Energy including the major achievements and the R&D trends in SOFCs and Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOECs), which gave rise to extensive and deep discussions among the participating researchers and students.

The department of Energy Conversion and Storage at DTU focuses on research and development of functional materials and their applications in sustainable energy technologies. The Department was founded in 2012 by bringing research groups from Ris? DTU and DTU Chemistry together, building on existing DTU world class expertise in fuel cells (solid oxide fuel cells and polymer electrolyte fuel cells), electrolysis cells, polymer solar cells, batteries, hydrogen storage and related technologies. It has more than 20 years of experience in solid oxide cell research and advanced functional ceramics.
